A Month of Guru Yoga

At the Hard Light Center of Awakening, the month of October brings a period of profound recollection of our Guru Mark Griffin and Lineage Master Swami Muktananda. Both great souls dropped their bodies during this month — Baba Muktananda on October 2, 1982 and Mark Griffin on October 24, 2018. The 24th of October in 2018 saw a full moon in the Vedic month of Ashwini, just as occurred the day Baba died in 1982. Astrologically, this signifies the lunar return of both Baba’s and Mark’s mahasamadhi. Guru and disciple are forever joined in this cosmic cycle. We honor the Lineage of Siddhas that bestow Shaktipat, Kundalini awakening, and offer heartfelt gratitude to our personal Guru for the ongoing gift of grace that flows continuously.
