Everything and Nothing

During the Shaktipat Intensive Meditation Master Mark Griffin gave in September of 2008, he gave a detailed teaching on the nature of cause and effect, from this angle:

“The view that we’ve been discussing today is the view from the other side, the view from the point of emptiness, back thru the looking glass, into the cyclic world.”

He outlined the six classifications of causation, and their corresponding results:

    1.    productive cause
    2.    co-emergent cause
    3.    causes of the same outcome
    4.    concomitant cause
    5.    omnipresent cause
    6.    developing cause

and showed the way that this understanding opens the door to becoming free from the wheel of cyclic existence.
