Here is the complete transcript from the 2009 Mahasamadhi retreat. The teachings include a fascinating understanding of how the Guru comes into our lives, how our paths are destined to intersect with the force of the Guru, the role of the Guru from that point forward, and what our best attitude is in our relationship with the Guru.  The overnight Dream Yoga session is also included, as well as a fresh look at how the recitation of the Six Session Vajra Guru Yoga fits into one’s sadhana. Here’s an excerpt from the retreat about the Intersection With The Guru:

“Oftentimes you will experience the waves of grace of the Guru.  It’ll come to you as a wave of energy.  A Guru in another place, in another time, will think of you; and as an act of will, send an arrow of grace waves to you and strike you.  Maybe they’re living in the future and you’re living in the past.  The path of your life is going along, and the Guru says, “We need to true up on this, so we’ll send grace waves from the future, so that it will change your life.”  So you’re going along, everything is going great, and all of a sudden, boom!  You life is completely annililated, and a new life comes up, and a new pathway, because you’re being corrected on a line of intention.  Or it’s a situation where you already have a relationship with a Guru that’s working with you.  Maybe that Guru is off-planet; and he’s bombarding you with grace waves from off-planet.  Everything is going great and there’s lots of good development.  But this may be a really good lifetime, and the Guru’s intention sees that what you really need is to meet an incarnation – a human being that is manifesting and carrying the Guru Shakti, that has a human body – and you really need that in this particular lifetime.  So if you have this much intent going on your life, and there’s a Guru, say, over here, and the arc of your life is going this way – but it’s your fate to meet this Guru over here, there will be contact, by movement of the Guru’s grace through an act of will, through thought, through intention.  Whatever happens, your life will just change, change, change, and the pathway will suddenly intersect with a form of the Guru Shakti that is present and incarnate at a given place and time.” ~ Mark Griffin
