~ Verse 35 ~

There is no difference between the
contemplation of your own Guru and the
contemplation of infinite Lord Shiva. Indeed,
chanting the name of your own Guru is as
powerful as chanting the mantra of infinite
Lord Shiva.

Sva deshika syaiva
swu day – shee – ku syay – vu
Note: when you look at the word 'syaiva' it looks like it will be tricky to pronounce, but if you break it up into parts it's easy. First say the word "yay", like 'yay, hip- hooray'. Then add an 's' sound before it: syay. Then add the va, pronounced vu, with the short 'a'.

shu – ree – ru chin – tu – num
Note: sharira means body, form or sheath; it is used in the meaning 'the form of one's own Guru'. Chinta means thought, enquiry, discussion, contemplation.

bhu – vayd un – un – tus – yu
Note:the 'e' is pronounced a bit more like 'ay' than this sound sample.

Note: shivasya = of Shiva; the form (chinta) of Shiva.
