Pranam fully to the Guru with complete
abandon and let your every action, thought and
word be offered to the Guru. Serve the Guru in
every way and dedicate your life to him.

kur - mu - naa
Note: karma is action

mu - nu - saa vaa - chaa
Note: manas is mind, vaachaa is speach

nityam aaraadhayed
nit - yum aaraa - dhu - yayd
Note: the 'i' is long in nityam. Nityam is always, perpetually.

goo - room

now link the first part together...
Karmanaa manasaa vaachaa, nityam aaraadhayed gurum

Dirgha dandam
dir - ghu  dun dum

Note: the 'i' is short.

Danda is stick. You may know the yoga position known as dandasana, which means make your legs straight like a stick:

The sense here is to bow fully and with devotion, flat out before the Guru like a stick - a full pranam.

nu - mus - kr(i)t - yu
Note: the 'r' is a vowel. Namah means to bow (as in Om Namah Shivaya)

nirlajjo
neer - luj - jo
Note: this 'i' is long. Nirlajjo mean with abandonm without shame, without reserve.

guru sannidhau
goo - roo sun - nee - dhow
Note: the 'i' is long. The final 'au' is a dipthong, like 'cow'.

now, secure the second half in your mouth...
Dirgha dandam namaskrtya, nirlajjo guru sannidhau

Now repeat the entire verse all together:

Karmanaa manasaa vaachaa, nityam aaraadhayed gurum; Dirgha dandam namaskrtya, nirlajjo guru sannidhau.
